Idaho and is a tool for making quick work of creating question
pools for quizzes. Click the link below to access the Quiz
Generator. For instructions click the "Documentation"

are formatted as directed, go back to the Quiz Generator page
to copy and paste your test questions into the text box. Click
the "Create Quiz" link to upload your questions.
The Quiz Generator will send you back a file that can be uploaded

Tips on using the Quiz Generator
- Use notepad to type your quiz questions before pasting
them into the Quiz Generator.
- Avoid using smart quotes for apostrophes and quotation
marks. Make sure all of your quotes are straight
quotes.
- Avoid the use of slashes.
- Make sure there is just ONE enter space between your
questions. This empty line should not have any spacebar
spaces.
- Make sure the question itself and all of the answers
are continuous and do not have enter breaks, unless they
are needed to signify a new answer.
- Once you have formatted your quiz in the quiz generator,
copy it (press Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C). This is done mainly
as a precaution. Sometimes the quiz generator does not
work properly and generates the .zip file containing the
quiz only on the second time. If this happens, you can
simply
paste the text into the quiz generator the second time
(press Ctrl+V) and click to generate the quiz one more
time.
- Save the .zip file containing the quiz on your computer.
From inside your Blackboard course, go to your Control
Panel >> Pool Manager to 'Import' the .zip file. If errors
occur during uploading, it means that you have formatting
errors in your quiz (smart quotes instead of straight quotes,
slashes). You must correct the quiz text, generate the
quiz once again and save it as a
new
.zip
file to be uploaded.
